Founded in 1977, METSCO is a family business primarily concentrated on facility contracting and supply of equipment and services for the Oil & Gas industry in the Middle East and North Africa. METSCO’s projects book were soon to include exploration and oil field rejuvenation projects in the O&G upstream sector.
We have been acting since as a New Business Development / Business Intelligence / Business Relations Advisor to Oil & Gas upstream companies as well as Oil Service Companies supporting their entry into Middle Eastern and North African countries with permanent & contractual staff.

Main activities are searching for and screening project opportunities in the Middle East - Africa for client companies, conducting initial and detailed audits, identifying and targeting investors when needed, leveraging on client and prospect network, preparation and delivery of sales pitch, acting as liaison officers / facilitators vis-à-vis local stakeholders and governments on behalf of our clients, coordination of legal and contractual issues.
Our Team Technical is composed of experienced professionals (mostly Swiss and French, ex Shell, Addax Petroleum, Total, BNPParibas, etc.) covering all Technical & commercial discipline ranges: Geoscience, Reservoir & Petroleum engineering, well design, surface facilities, economic valuation as well as Investment Banking. Kindly note that several of our team members being Ex Addax Petroleum, had helped the company grow to its current size and hence are very familiar with the Nigerian Oil & Gas landscape (Geology, Terms…etc) as well as with the Middle East in general. We operate with an extensive business network in Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well with some key industry players.
New Business Development – Asset Screening & Valuation:
We scope and source upstream E&P opportunities (Asset Acquisition, Farm In or direct Corporate Equity Investment) for which we first conduct a first pass analysis in order to frame the opportunity (Valuation and relevant Metrics) before we introduce it to the relevant investors.
Our focus ranges from Exploration opportunities through Greenfield appraisal ventures to mature Brownfield re-developments projects with a focus on conventional Oil & Gas reservoirs and Heavy Oil only.
We offer integrated investment opportunity valuation for Oil & Gas upstream projects covering all disciplines and functions in the value chain. We act in Due Diligence for Asset valuation in support to Business Development screening functions but also to Corporate and Strategic planning, Asset acquisition, Divestiture and Dilution, and Corporate Transaction.
We typically carry out the required technical and economical studies to generate a reliable Asset Valuation Model for screening purposes and / or in depth Analysis on investment opportunities and projects in upstream Oil & Gas E&P.
We also assist in related New business development functions such as Strategy definition, portfolio review & optimization, Country / Region competitive intelligence and lobbying (for ex Kurdistan), Assistance in Regulatory process, etc.
